Warrior Class (1906) CC

The four ships of the Warrior Class (1906) were Armoured Cruisers. Part of the 1903 construction programme.

They were intended to be repeats of the previous year's  Duke of Edinburgh (1906) Class. But experience with earlier cruisers meant the casemates were abandoned, and the secondary armament of heavier 7.5in guns were all mounted at main deck level.

They were steady ships and proved to be excellent gun platforms.

In service they enjoyed a very high reputation.
