HMS Vengeance (1899)  (6th)

This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Vengeance was the last of six Canopus Class battleships.

Built by Vickers in Barrow. She was laid down in Aug-1898, commissioned 25-July-1899, and completed April-1902. 

She served with the Mediterranean Fleet in 1902, then on to the China station 1906-1908. The Home Fleet followed until 1913 when she became a gunnery training ship.

In 1914 she served in the Atlantic until going to the Dardanelles early in 1915, when she was Vice Admiral de Robeck's flagship during the Dardanelles campaign. 

From late 1915 until 1917 she served in Egypt, the East Indies and East African coast.

Final duties saw her as an ordnance depot ship at Devonport in 1918.

Sold 1921.

Won the Battle Honour: Dardanelles 1915.
