This the third ship to carry the name HMS Tyrian was a
Britomart class, 2 gun, wooden screw gunboat. Built by Courtney of Newhaven, laid down 21-Nov-1859, launched 07-Sep-1861 and completed 1865. Used as a tug in Jamaica from 1883. Sold 1891 in Jamaica.
