This the first ship to carry the name HMS Tyne was a 6th rate, 28-gun, ship.

Built by Davy of Topsham, launched 20-Apr-1814, 108ft 6in long, 30ft 6in wide and of 446 tons builders measurement. Armed with 18 x 32pdr, 8 x 12pdr carronades and 2 x 6pdr guns.

Sold 27-Jan-1825.
