HMS Triumph (1991) SSN  (11th)

   
This the current and eleventh HMS Triumph is the last of seven Trafalgar Class (1983) SSN boats to enter service with the Royal Navy. 

Built by Vickers of Barrow, laid down 02-Feb-1987, and completed 12-Oct-1991.

Took part in operations against the Gaddafi regime Mar-2010 when she fired Tomahawk missiles in support of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973.

In service Mar-2011.

In keeping with the traditions of the silent service the Royal Navy website provides no details at all about the Trafalgar or her history.  Information on this awaits further research. ***
