5th Rate 36-gun

    
This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Thetis was a fifth rate, 36-gun, ship.

Built at Devonport Dockyard, launched 21-Aug-1846, 164ft 6in long, 46ft 6in wide and of 1,524 tons builders measurement. Armed with 4 x 8in and 32 x 32pdr guns.

Transferred to the Prussian Navy 12-Jan-1855 in exchange for two gunboats.
