HMS Superb (1710)  (1st)
4th Rate 56-gun

    
The first HMS Superb was originally the French ‘Superbe’ a fourth rate of 56 guns captured by HMS Kent off the Lizard. Commissioned into the Royal Navy on 23-Sep-1710 as Superb

She served in the Mediterranean during Queen Anne’s War and in 1717 took part in the destruction of the Spanish Fleet off Cape Passero on 31 July 1718.

Broken up 1732.

Won the Battle Honour: Passero 1718.
