This the second ship to carry the name HMS Smiter was a
Tank Landing Ship, originally LST 3514. Built by Yarrow of Esquimalt, launched 07-Oct-1944. Renamed HMS Smiter 1947. Sold Mar-1949. Wrecked 25-Apr-1949 while under tow off Portugal.
