HMS Royal Charles (1660) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Royal Charles was
originally HMS Naseby.
An 80-gun ship, built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 1655, 162ft long, 42ft wide and of 1,230 tons builders measurement. Renamed HMS Royal Charles 1660. Captured by the Dutch at Chatham 12-Jun-1667. Won the Battle honours: Lowestoft 1665, Four Days' Battle 1666 and Orfordness 1666.
