This HMS Royal Anne the first to carry the name, was a rebuild of HMS
St Andrew. A 1st rate, three deck, 100-gun, ship-of -the-line.
The rebuilt took place at Woolwich Dockyard, she was launched May-1704, 170ft long on the deck, 140ft 6in long at the keel, 48ft wide, with 19ft 4in depth in the hold, and of 1,721 and 82/94ths tons builders measurement. Her complement was 780 men in time of war at home waters or 580 men in peace or war overseas. Broken up May-1727.
