This the third ship to carry the name HMS Rocket was a 1-gun, mortar vessel.

Built by Green of Blackwall, launched 05-May-1855, 70ft long, 23ft 6on wide and of 156 tons builders measurement. Armed with 1 x 13in mortar.

Renamed MV 20, 19-Oct-1855.

Broken up at Plymouth 1865.

Won the Battle Honours: Baltic 1855, English Channel 1943, Sabang 1944, Burma 1844-45 and East Indies 1945.
