This the first ship to carry the name HMS Richmond was an unrated, 26-gun
ship.
Built at Portsmouth as HMS Wakefield, launched 1655, 90ft long, 24ft 6in wide, and of 232 tons builders measurement. Renamed HMS Richmond 1660. Used as a fireship 1668 to 1689. Sold 30-Aug-1698.
