HMS Quail (1897) TBD  (5th)

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Quail was a torpedo boat destroyer.

Built by Laird of Birkenhead, laid down 28-May-1895, launched 24-Sep-1895, and completed Jun-1897.

Shortly after completion went to the America and West Indies Station. Returned to the UK 1903 and then went to the Mediterranean Oct-1894 returning to the UK 1906.

Was involved in a collision 1908 which damaged her bows.

Sold for breaking up 23-Jul-1919.
