This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Psyche was a 3rd
Class, Protected Cruiser. Built at Devonport Dockyard, laid down 16-Nov-1897, launched 19-Jul-1898 and completed 1900. On completion went to the America & west Indies Station 1900-02, then returned to the UK and refitted 1902-03. After this it was to the Australia Station 1903 13, and New Zealand 1913-15. Loaned to the Royal Australian Navy 1915. Used as Training Ship at Sydney 1915-20. Sold 1922 and broken up at Melbourne.
