HMS Partridge (1942) DD  (7th)

    
This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Partridge was a P Class, destroyer.

Built by Fairfield, laid down, 03-Jun-1940, launched 05-Aug-1941, and commissioned 22-Feb-1942.

Mid-1942 to the Mediterranean for Malta convoy escort work.

Badly damaged Jun-1942 in action with Italian cruisers and destroyers.

Torpedoed and sunk by U-565 west of Oran 18-Dec-1942.

Won the Battle Honours: North Africa 1942 and Malta Convoys 1942.
