This the first ship to carry the name HMS Pactolus was a red pine-built, fifth rate, 38-gun, ship.

Built by Barnard of Deptford, launched 14-Aug-1813, 150ft 6in long, 40ft wide and of 1,067 tons builders measurement.

Sold 29-Jan-1818.
