3rd Rate 70-gun

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Orford was a third rate, 70-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 1749, 160ft long, 45ft wide and of 1,414 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from Mar-1777.

Sunk Jun-1783 as a breakwater at Sheerness.

Won the Battle Honours: Louisburg 1758, Quebec 1759 and Havana 1762.
