This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Neptune was a first rate 120-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 27-Sep-1832, 206ft long, 55ft 6in wide and of 2,694 tons builders measurement (bm).

Armed with 6 x 68pdr, 114 x 32pdr guns.

Conversion to a screw ship completed 07-Mar-1859, with a reduced armament of 72-guns and increased tonnage of 2,830 tons bm.

Sold 1875.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854.
