5th Rate 46-gun

    
This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Monmouth was originally the fifth rate, 46-gun ship HMS Hotspur, renamed Monmouth in 1868. 

Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 09-Oct-1828, 159ft long, 41ft wide and of 1,171 tons builders measurement. 

Altered to a Chapel hulk 1859, then renamed Monmouth.

Sold 1902.
