This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Lynx was a Cherokee Class, brig-sloop completed as a  3-gun brigantine.

Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched 02-Sep-1833, and of 233 tons builders measurement.

Broken up Dec-1845.
