This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Kangaroo was a
Philomel Class, wooden screw gunvessel. Originally HMS Dart, built by Mare of Blackwall, launched 10-Mar-1860. Renamed HMS Kangaroo 01-Apr-1882. Broken up Dec-1884.
