HMS Hannibal (1898) BB  (6th)

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Hannibal was one of nine Majestic Class battleships.

Built at Pembroke Dock, laid down May-1894, launched 28-Apr-1896 and completed in Apr-1898. 

She served with the Channel Fleet from 1898-1904. Then variously the Channel, Atlantic or Home Fleets until 1914. Then she went to the Humber and later Scapa Flow as guardship. Late in 1915 it was on to the Mediterranean as a trooper, and her turrets were transferred to monitors.

After this she went to the East Indies and later the Middle East until the end of the war.

Sold in 1920.
