HMS Good Hope (1902) CC  (3rd)

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Good Hope was an Armoured Cruiser.

Built by Fairfield of Govan, laid down 11-Sep-1899, launched 21-Feb-1901 and completed 08-Nov-1902.

On completion joined the Channel Fleet 1903-04, then Flagship 1st Cruiser Squadron, Channel Fleet 1905-07. Flagship 2nd Cruiser Squadron Atlantic 1907-09. Refitted at Portsmouth 1910. Joined the Atlantic Fleet 1911 then on to the Mediterranean 1912. The 2nd Fleet 1913-14.

On the outbreak of WW1 joined the 6th Cruiser Squadron Grand Fleet 1914.

To the South Atlantic as Flagship of Rear Admiral Sir Christopher Craddock's Squadron. Sunk 01-Nov-1914 at the Battle of Coronel with the loss of all hands.
