This the fifteenth ship to carry the name HMS Fortune was a 14-gun, sloop.

Originally HMS Falcon, built by Barnard of Harwich, launched 12-Nov-1744, 91ft 6in long, 26ft wide and of 272 tons builders measurement.

Captured 12-Aug-1745 by the French off St-Malo.

Recaptured Mar-1746 and renamed HMS Fortune.

Sold 20-Mar-1770.
