This the second ship to carry the name HMS Emperor of India was a paddle steamer.

Built in 1906 and displacing 482 tons.

Requisitioned first from 1916 to 1920, and then returned to civilian use.

Requisitioned for a second time during the second world war from 1939 to 1946 and used as a paddle minesweeper.

Took part in 'Operation Dynamo' the evacuation from Dunkirk, and in three trips she evacuated 644 troops.  

Won the Battle Honour: Dunkirk 1940.
