This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Duke was a second rate, 90-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built at Plymouth Dockyard, launched 18-Oct-1777, 177ft 6in long, 50ft wide, and of 1,931 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from Sep-1799.

Broken up 1843.

Won the Battle Honours: Ushant 1781 and The Saints 1782.
