This the third ship to carry the name HMS Desperate was the name ship of a class of four torpedo boat destroyers.

Built by Thorneycroft, laid down 01-Jul-1895, launched 15-Feb-1896 and completed Feb-1897.

Served in the Mediterranean 1900 to 1913.

Sold 20-May-1920 for breaking up.
