This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Clyde was a base ship.

Built by Napier, launched 28-Jan-1876 and originally a composite screw sloop, HMS Wild Swan, renamed HMS Clyde 01-May-1904, 170 ft long, 36ft wide and displacing 1,130 tons.

Renamed HMS Columbine Jul-1913.

Sold 04-May-1920.
