This the second ship to carry the name HMS Charger was a coal hulk.

Originally HMS Courier, a wooden paddle picket, bought 20-Aug-1830 (George IV), 155ft 6in long, 32ft 6in wide and of 733 tons builders measurement.

Renamed HMS Hermes, 1831.

Renamed HMS Charger and used as a coal hulk 1835.

Broken up Jun-1854.
