HMS Blackpool (1958) FF  (2nd)

     
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Blackpool was a Type 12 Whitby Class, anti-submarine frigate.

Built by Thornycroft, launched 14-Feb-1957, commissioned 14-Aug-1958.

Loaned to the Royal New Zealand Navy 07-Jun-1966 to 1971 while HMNZS Canterbury was building.

Used as target ship on her return. Sold for scrapping 11-May-1978.
