HMS Annapolis (1940) DD  (1st)

    
This the only ship to carry the name HMS Annapolis was a Town Class, destroyer. One of 50 sold to the Royal Navy under the destroyers for bases agreement.

Originally the USS Mackenzie DD175, built by the Union Iron Works, laid down 04-Jul-1918, launched 29-Sep-1918, commissioned in the US Navy 25-Jul-1919, commissioned in the Royal Canadian Navy 02-Oct-1940 and renamed.

Used as a training ship 1944.

Broken up 1945 at the Boston Iron & Metal Co.

Won the Battle Honour: Atlantic 1941-44.
