HMS Ambush (2013) SSN  (3rd)

     
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Ambush is the second Astute Class nuclear powered attack submarine.

Built at BAE Systems of Barrow, laid down 22-Oct-2003, and launched 05-Jan-2011.

Carried out her first dive at BAE Systems Cumbria yard 05-Oct-2011.

Completed contractor sea trials and handed over to the Royal Navy 17-Jan-2013.

Commissioned at Faslane 01-Mar-2013.
