This the second ship to carry the name HMS Afridi was a Tribal
Class, destroyer. Built by Vickers Armstrong, on the Tyne, launched 08-Jun-1937, commissioned 03-May-1938. Took part in the Norwegian Campaign, where on 01-May-1940 while evacuating troops from Namsos she was attacked by dive bombing aircraft and sunk. Won the Battle Honour: Norway 1940.
