HMS Achilles (1907) CC  (4th) 

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Achilles was an armoured cruiser.

Built by Armstrong of Elswick, laid down 22-Feb-1904, launched 17-Jun-1905, and completed 22-Apr-1907.

On completion joined the Home Fleet 1907-14. On the outbreak of WW1 joined the Grand Fleet 1914-18.

Refitted Feb/Nov-1918, then served as Stokers Training Ship at Chatham 1918-19.

Sold 09-May-1921 and broken up at Swansea and Briton Ferry 1923.

Won the Battle Honour: 'Leopard' 1917.
