I Class (1942) DD

| This
was a class of four destroyers, originally under construction for the Turkish
Navy based on the I Class (1937), except they had 8 torpedoes instead of 10.
The two under construction were bought by the Royal Navy Sep 1939. The other two which were under construction by Denny were completed and delivered to Turkey as Sultan Hisar and Demirhisar. They were commissioned for their delivery journey.
