| Ordered
on 12-Sep-1942, these were meant to be a repeat of the Z Class ships.
But changes in radar, and gun direction systems meant reduced torpedo fit, and number of depth charges carried. This coupled with severe delays with director towers, and overweight systems meant none saw war service. All Cr ships were of all-welded construction. After the war all were transferred to Allied navies.
