Norfolk Class (1930) CC |
|
The two
ships of this class were repeats of the
London Class (1929), and
similar to the Kent Class (1927).
They were part of the 1926 cruiser construction programme. The main magazine armour was extended to the shell rooms. During the 1930's additional anti-aircraft guns were added and during WW2 these were added to as time and resources permitted. HMS Norfolk survived the war and served until 1949.
