Boadicea Class (1909) CC

The two ships of the Boadicea Class (1909) were Scout Cruisers.

Bigger and heavier than the first four classes of scout cruisers, they were more lightly armed and armoured which gave the same speed.

They had turbine propulsion which was used in all later cruisers.

Deck protection was limited to being over the machinery spaces.

Both ship were converted to minelayers in 1917.
