Honour - Lucknow 1857-58
During the Indian Mutiny Lucknow was one of two strategic targets for relief
forces. The other being Amorha.
A naval brigade from HMS Shannon including guns, was landed and placed under army command. The artillery was especially useful in defeating the mutineers at Lucknow.
