Indefatigable Class (1911) BC |
|
The
three ships of the Indefatigable Class were the second class of
battlecruisers built, and had many similarities to the Invincible
Class (1908). They mounted the 50 calibre 12in guns as against the 45 calibre of the Invincible Class. Also the midships turrets were staggered to a greater extent to improve their arc of fire. Armoured protection was again weak and lead to the loss of Indefatigable at Jutland.
