Wooden Screw Corvette 22-gun

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Racoon was a 22-gun, wooden screw corvette.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 25-Apr-1857, 200ft long, 40ft 6in wide and of 1,467 tons builders measurement. Armed with 20 x 8in and 2 x 68pdr guns.

Broken up at Devonport 1877.
