This the second ship to carry the name HMS Manxman was a
minelayer. Built by Stephen, launched 05-Sep-1940, 418ft long, 40ft wide and displacing 2,650 tons. Armed with 6 x 4.7in guns and able to carry up to 160 mines. Appeared at the Coronation Review 1953. Used as a minesweeper support ship from Feb-1963. Sold 01-Sep-1972 and broken up at Newport. Won the Battle Honour: Malta Convoys 1941-42.
