HMS Magpie (1889) (6th)

This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Magpie was a 6-gun,
composite screw gunboat. Built at Pembroke Dock, launched 15-Mar-1889, 165ft long, 31ft wide and displacing 805 tons. Armed with 6 x 4in guns. Classed as a boarding vessel from 1902 then a gunvessel from 1915. Used as a depot ship from Oct-1915. Sold 29-Dec-1921. Won the Battle Honour: Benin 1897.
