HMS Magnificent (1948) CVL  (4th)

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name  HMS Magnificent was laid down as one of the Majestic Class (1948) of Light Fleet Carriers.

On completion she was loaned to the Royal Canadian Navy where she served as HMCS Magnificent. Pending receipt by the Canadians of her substantially revised sister ship HMS Powerful, which was renamed HMCS Bonaventure

Appeared at the Coronation Review 1953.

Magnificent was returned to the Royal Navy in 1957 and laid up.
