HMS M31 (1915) MM (1st)

This the only ship to carry the name HMS M31 was a coastal
monitor. Built by Harland & Wolff launched 26-Jun-1915, 170ft long, 31ft wide and displacing 535 tons. Armed with 1 x 9.2in and 1 x 3in guns. Used as a minelayer from 1919. Renamed HMS Melpomene, 01-Dec-1925. Renamed HMS Menelaus 23-Dec-1940. Broken up Jan-1948.
