This the first ship to carry the name HMS Halcyon was a 16-gun, brig-sloop.

Originally French (Alcion) captured 08-Jul-1803 by HMS Narcissus off Sardinia, 91ft 6in long, 28ft wide and of 298 tons builders measurement. Armed with 14 x 24pdr carronades and 2 x 6pdr guns.

Broken up Jun-1812.
