This the third ship to carry the name HMS Fame was a sixth rate, 24-gun, ship.

Originally French, captured Jul-1709, 106ft long, 26ft wide and of 316 tons builders measurement.

Recaptured by the French 21-Sep-1710 off Port Mahon.
