HMS Example (1994) PCF  (1st)

    
This the only ship to carry the name HMS Example is a P2000 Class, fast patrol boat.

Built by Watercraft of Shoreham, launched 1985 and completed 13-Aug-1985 for the Royal Navy Auxiliary Service (A153) as Loyal Example.

Remained there until 31-Mar-1994 when the service was disbanded, and commissioned into the Royal Navy later in1994 and renamed HMS Example when she was redesignated P165 and assigned as a University Royal Naval Unit to Northumbria University.

Took part in the Trafalgar 200 Fleet Review.

In service Mar-2011.
