Description The actions took place at the mouths of the Red River Delta, in The Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam.

It consisted of various actions to destroy Chinese pirate junks trapped inshore of the banks shoals and islands in the Delta. A party of seamen from HMS Hastings also took part but the ship was not awarded the battle honour.

A total of 58 were counted as destroyed.
