| Description |
During the Indian Mutiny Amorha was one of two strategic targets for relief
forces. The other being Lucknow. A naval brigade of seamen and marines from HMS Pearl including guns were landed and marched on Amorha. After a major battle on 05-March the rebels were defeated.
